Elected Member Representatives

Following the change in the structure of the National Committee, there are now 2 elected Member Representatives, who will serve for a period of 2 years each. For this year only, 1 of the posts will be for a single year, to allow a "staggering" of elections - 1 post will be elected each year at the AGM.

The current postholders are Chris Taylor (2021-2023) and Doug Morden (2021-2022). Chris and Doug have written a "job description" for the role, which has the support of the Executive Committee.

“To be openly available to every member through telephone, email or other social media.

To act on behalf of all members with any problems, issues or concerns regarding their own umpiring or otherwise. To be an impartial and totally confidential point of contact.

To be someone who can oil the wheels of communication to the main Committee and/or any of the Sub-committees; to explain how our ‘systems’ work ; to help any individual decide on the best way to approach things and get their problem resolved. It could be grading, selection, expenses, progression, training or whatever it is that might not seem fair. It could also be a new idea or a better way of doing things.”

Chris and Doug can be contacted by either phone or email as outlined below:

Chris Taylor: christaylor2033@hotmail.co.uk 07931 340932

Doug Morden: idem6@btinternet.com 01189 732333
